Hope for the Village
My name is Anisha, and I am nine years old. I come from a very poor and broken family. Growing up, I did not have enough food or proper care for daily living. I am the youngest in my family, and the saddest thing is that my parents did not have a good relationship and did not show me love and care. I was often neglected.
My mother left our family, and my father remarried, leaving me in the care of my grandparents. I began living with them and helping with household work, including fetching water. Since my parents left me, I felt like I had no hope for a bright future. My grandparents struggled to earn money and could not afford my education or provide enough food. Life was very difficult, and I never had the opportunity to attend a good school.
In July 2022, I was enrolled with In Better Hands at Light and Life Hostel. After joining In Better Hands, my life began to change. I have been able to participate in many activities and learn practical life skills. Through sponsorship, I now have the opportunity to attend a good school, eat nutritious food, and live in a loving environment with caring friends and mentors.
I am now able to read and write well, and I have become the top student in my class at school. In Better Hands has encouraged me to study hard and dream for my future again. I hope to always glorify God through my life.
My grandparents and I are deeply grateful to In Better Hands for your love and compassion. Thank you for caring for me and showing me what it means to be truly loved.
