Seth and Hlawn Hlawn founded In Better Hands in 2012. Seth serves as the Executive Director, and Hlawn Hlawn serves as Global Care Support. Together, they lead the ministry while living in Asia with their three children: Jason, Noah, and Abigail.

Hlawn Hlawn was born and raised in Myanmar (Burma) and is one of ten biological children. She graduated with two bachelor’s degrees, in Bible and Physics.

Seth was born and raised in Bad Axe, Michigan, a rural farming community. He is one of twenty-one children, including eighteen adopted brothers and sisters from five different nations. Seth holds an associate degree in Criminal Justice, a bachelor’s degree in Christian Ministries with a minor in Missions, and a master’s degree in Communication with an emphasis in ministry.

Seth first traveled to Thailand and Myanmar in July 2006 on a short-term mission trip. After that initial trip, he felt called to full-time mission service.
